This essence combination is for the animal that seems to have lost interest in life, whether or not they are old. These animals are sleepy even when awake, and sometimes will just stand and stare into space. They may also stare at their food without eating it. The animal may show signs of senility, be a bit wobbly on their feet, suffer from stiffness of limbs, or act in an uncharacteristic manner. Cats may not be able to clean their fur as well as they used to. The animal’s appetite may be poor or abnormally voracious. This combination essence, with Gorse, Ruby and Paphiopedilum, is a good emotional pick-me-up. Stick Rorrish and Clematis are for confusion. Scleranthus is for disorientation and Walnut is for animals that can’t cope well with any changes to their routine. Where an older cat’s routine is changed, they may commonly develop cystitis or viral infections because of emotional stress. Impatiens is for cantankerous animals. Rock water is for inflexibility and stiffness. This essence also helps animals to adjust to transition when dying or undergoing euthanasia.
