About Gaia Bach Flower Essence Choices
GAIA BACH FLOWER ESSENCE CHOICES The first set of flower essences ever made in modern times was put together by Dr. Edward Bach in the 1930s. He first made his 12 Healers - Agrimony, Centaury, Cerato, Chicory, Clematis, Gentian, Impatiens, Mimulus, Rock Rose, Scleranthus, Vervain and Water Violet. Later he added the 7 Helpers - Gorse, Heather, Oak, Olive, Rock Water, Vine and Wild Oat. Finally, he added his nineteen new essences, which were mostly trees, to make the complete set, plus one combination essence, that he called "Rescue Remedy". The method of making these last 19 departed from the normal placing of flowers in water in sunshine for a period of time. All but one of the 19 new essences were prepared using the boiling method, so they are slightly more herbal in essence than Bach's Healers and Helpers. The new 19 are for clearing deep emotional and personality issues. In combination with the Healers and Helpers they can enhance their beneficial effect more than could be achieved if used on their own. Bach's Flower Remedies have grown to become the most popular set of flower essences ever made thanks to modern commercial manufacture. Bach's combination of five of his essences, the "Rescue Remedy" is known all over the world. However, Bach originally wished that each individual could make up their own flower essences for their own needs. But like jam, wine, bread making etc, commercial ranges are provided for those who don't have the time to make their own. Also, some of his flower choices, such as Scleranthus, Autumn Gentian and Water Violet are quite hard to find to-day, due to modern agricultural practices. The Gaia range of essences is carefully hand-made from Bach flower and tree essence choices found in the green Devon and Wiltshire countryside. They are made to Bach's original stronger, hand-made recipes, preserved in brandy, and are presented at stock strength in 15ml blue dropper bottles. Each bottle is £6.00 with £1.50 extra for postage and packing. An additional 50p for p and p is added for each extra bottle ordered.
